The college has got post-graduate laboratory in Organic Chemistry under the guidance of Dr. A. S. Gupta, Reader & Head of Chemistry Dept., Which is functioning in the name of "P. C. Verma Research Center" named after the father of present president of M. D. College -Shri Ajai Verma. Since 1980, five research students have already been awarded M.Sc. Degree by Research on different research projects having variety of drugs (compounds) having different therapeutic values. More focus has been given to develop anti-tuberculosis drugs which is still considered as one of the dreaded disease.
During the development of research scheme, the college was given recognition by Ministry of Science & Technology, Govt. of India Ivied approval letter no. 7630 dated 1" ' Dec.'1987 [F. No. 203/163/87-ITA(II)] under clause (ii) of sub section (I) of section 35(35/ i / ii) of Income-Tax by Ministry of finance. Lately, the college procured UGC development, we published 4 papers in organic chemistry at various intervals of time in Indian Journal of Chemistry, New Delhi. For development of research, we regularly subscribe in three reputed journals in our library for reference work. Recently two PhD. students are working on heterocyclic organic compounds with therapeutic values which may give a new dimension in the field of organic chemistry.
