He is working as a programme coordinator for ‘IPA-NPTQP’ for M. D. College. · He was N.S.S. programme officer and N.C.C. officer for couple of years. |

Ms. Namrata Jain,
-Associate professor , (M.sc., M. Phil.)

• She did M. sc. In electronics & M. Phil. in particle physics with a thesis on ‘’Neutrino Oscillation” from Mumbai university.
• Presently pursuing Ph. D. from Nagpur University on “cosmology” Thesis title-“Kaluza klein cosmological model”.
• Received minor research project “lambda decay cosmology”
• For two years funded by UGC.
• Presented paper at national as well as state level.
• Passed PAT in 2005.area of research iis theoratical physics & cosmology.
• Taught different papers like mechanics, electronics, wave mechanics optics, electrodynamics, and quantum physics at F.Y. & S.Y. level. Teaching experience of 20 yrs.
Dr. Avinash Karande,
- Associate professor, (M.sc., Ph.D.)

• Dr. Avinash Karande is assistant professor in dept of physics.
• He has obtained M.sc. and Ph.D. degree from Mumbai University.
• He has teaching experience of 8 yrs. at undergraduate and 2 yrs. at post graduate level.
• He has appointed as incharge of ‘IYP-2005’ (International year of physics) for Mumbai zone.
• Last 5 yrs. he is working as incharge of ‘IPA-NPTQP’ for M. D. College.
• He has participated in the “train trainers “program for global skill enhancement curriculum held at Infosys, Pune.
• His area research is nanoparticals and material science.
• He has published 3 international and national research paper
• He has presented more than 16 research paper in national and international conference and seminar.
• He has been sanctioned 3 minor research projects by Mumbai University.
• Presently he is the NSS area coordinator for Mumbai city zone and NSS program officer of M. D. College.
Departmental Activities:-
- 13 students of S.Y.B.Sc class visited Nehru Science Center & attended lecture on "Nuclear disarmament" organized by Delhi police in association with Nehru center.
- 12 students of S.Y.B.Sc class attended workshop at K. C. College on "Great Institution of India" organized by K.C.College on association with ISRO.
- 3 students of F.Y.B.Sc class participated in "Quiz Contest" at infinity programme organized at Jhunjhunwala College.
