Dr. Shashi Mishra
- HOD, Associate Professor

Dr. Shashi Mishra- M.A.PH.D. Teaching since 1983 in different colleges of Mumbai University . Joined Maharshi Dayanad College in January 1998. Became head in September 1998. She obtained her Doctoral degree in “Satire in post independent Hindi essays” her thesis named “Swatantroytar - Hindi Vyangya Nibandh” is published and recommended as references book. She edited one book on Sharad Joshi – the renowned Hindi Satirist. The book is published by Kitab Ghar- New Delhi.

Dr. Shashi Mishra has a number of papers to her credit in national journals. As H.O.D of Hindi department she has organized seven “National Seminars” and six “Kavi Sammelans”. She has presented papers in three International Seminars and twenty five National Seminars. She teaches Hindi to foreign students of Hindustani Prachar Sabha Mumbai. She is Co- Sec. for Rashtra Bhasha Mahasangh- Mumbai and is active member of women writer organization – “Sarthak Samvad”. She is executive member of National consensus for citizens. She has started “Saral Hindi” course since academic year 2009-2010. The course is sponsored by Human Resource Ministry and run by “Hindustani Prachar Sabha” – Mumbai.
 

Dr.Umeshchandra Shukla
- Associate Professor

Dr.Shukla accomplished his Ph.D.from Baranas Hindu Univ.(B.H.U),Varanasi in1993 on “Jainendra – Vyaktitva aur Krititva” He postgraduated in 1990 and graduated in 1988 from B.H.U only. Before joining M.D.College in Feb1998 he served as lecturer in Elphinston college, Mumbai for two yrs. With experience of teaching graduates for 15 yrs. He is also teaching postgraduates since 5 yrs.

Dr.Shukla has been granted a responsibility of conducting a major research project on “Hindi Katha Sahitya me Vimarsh”. Author of books like “Gauraiya Ke Fudkan & Hindi Vyakaran” published by Vani Prakashan,Delhi he had a credit of writing near about 14 articles in national magazines on subjects like “Bhasha Chetna Aur Bhartendu”. He presented around 30 papers in national seminars.
Currently he is engaged with national level organisations like “Hindi Prachar avam Shodh Sanstha” as secretary & as treasurer in “Maharastra Pradeshik Hindi Sahitya Sammelan” apart from other literary and social organisations
