The B.M.M course aims:
*To Prepare Students to become professional media people who will completely uphold democratic freedom and societal responsibilities.
*To provide students with specialization in various mass media.
*To develop critical thinking , creative and personal integrity.
To give the students grounding in theories and philosophies of the profession so that they will be equipped to act as mature and perspective teachers of journalism & communication.
*To offer the students additional venues in the job market , by giving them an opportunity to specialize in a variety of analytical and practical option in the communications industry.
COURSE INFORMATION:
This is a full time course i.e. duration of six semesters spread over three years , every semester consisting of six theory papers and six projects.
The first four semesters are common, whilst semester V offers an option between advertising and journalism ,accordingly leading to a bifurcation of students.
Each paper consist of four lectures per week per semester.

ELIGIBILITY:
Minimum 50% marks in the 12th standard examinations (arts/commerce/science or any other equivalent examination). for SC/ST 45%marks in the 12th standard (subject to submission of caste certificates.)
SELECTION BASIS:
Each candidate will have to pass a 100 marks general aptitude written test, which will include questions of general knowledge, creative thinking, and language ability and so on. Thereafter, they will be interviewed by the concerned department.
